Privacy Policy for Meeting Guard
Effective date: June 22, 2026
Meeting Guard is built to be private. This policy explains what the app accesses, what it does with it, and what it does not do.
The short version
Meeting Guard reads your calendar on your device to set alarms for your meetings. Your calendar and your settings stay on your phone. The app has no account and no server, and it does not collect, share, or sell any of your data.
What the app accesses
- Calendar: with your permission, Meeting Guard reads your calendar events on your device so it can schedule alarms before the meetings you choose to cover. It reads details such as title, time, calendar, and status. It does not create, edit, or delete your events.
- Alarms: Meeting Guard uses the system alarm feature to ring before your meetings.
- Background refresh: when iOS allows, the app may update in the background so newly added meetings get alarms. This is optional and best effort.
What is stored, and where
Your preferences, such as which calendars you cover, your alarm timing, quiet hours, and muted meetings, along with the list of scheduled alarms, are stored on your device using standard iOS storage. None of this is sent anywhere.
What Meeting Guard does not do
- It does not connect to the internet to send your information anywhere. The app has no servers of its own.
- It does not have user accounts or require sign-in.
- It does not use analytics, advertising, or tracking.
- It does not include any third-party software that collects data.
- It does not share or sell your data, because it never collects it.
Permissions you can change
You can review or change calendar, alarm, and background app refresh permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. If you remove calendar access, Meeting Guard pauses its alarms.
Children
Meeting Guard does not collect data from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
